• OUTGOING FLIGHT - MUST BE IN BUDAPEST BY 10 AM ON 1ST AUGUST TO GET THE TRANSFER TO THE CAMP WITH THE OTHER STUDENTS!! 

**it is highly recommended you book a flight out on the day before and book an Airbnb or hotel for the night in Budapest.

IMPORTANT CAMP INFORMATION:

The International Alliance for Wing Tsun Kung Fu IS RUNNING THE STUDENT SUMMER CAMP of 2024 

This August we will gather again to practice Wing Tsun Kung Fu for 4 days from Thursday to Sunday. This year's special as the camp will be held in a new location, where we will be able to train in complete isolation in the middle of the forest.

Details

• Camp period: 1st of August 2024 - (Thursday) - 4th of August 2024 (Sunday)

Training times:          

• Thursday:                  
  • 17:00-20:00 Camp opening training  
• Friday:                  
  • 7:00-7:30 (morning exercise),
  • At least 6 hours of training during the day, the exact schedule will be announced later.

   

• Saturday:                  
  • 7:00-7:30 (morning exercise),
  • Minimum of 6 hours of training during the day, to be announced at a later date.

   

• Sunday:                  
  • 7:00-7:30 (morning exercise),
  • 8:30 - 11:30 Camp closing training

• In addition, there will be free training and other sports activities, the exact schedule will be announced later.

  Training location:          

• At the forest school location, so no travel is necessary. In good weather, we will train on the grass, and if it rains we still can train under a covered area.

 

Training fees   130 GBP

• If you come as a family from one household, the training fee will be 117 GBP per person.

  Accommodation details:          

• Accommodation will be in the forest school, rooms will be divided (2 rooms with 2 beds, 2 rooms with 3 beds, 5 rooms with 4 beds). We will try to take into account all your needs, please let us know.
• All rooms have private toilets and showers.
• The accommodation fee is 20 GBP / night (60 GBP for the whole camp), including tax.
• For own room its £30 per night (£90 total) 
• There is no air conditioning for the rooms, but nature will provide tall trees 🙂
• The accommodation includes a gathering room with a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space for other common activities (board games, chatting, eating together...)
• Accommodation can be booked from 14:00 on the 1st of August, please arrive the latest: 15:30
• There is a forest road leading to the accommodation, which is passable by car, but not asphalted.
• The mobile networks in the area is very limited, and stable in some places, but expect that it will not always be there (satellite communication is always available, but only for emergencies!)
• Camp is in the woods, we will be the only ones there, no fences, and parking is available on site.
• The area is rich in wildlife, they may come in at night, but not to worry, if the rules are followed they don't want to hurt you, however, going into the forest alone at night is forbidden.

   Catering          

• The  Szekér Fogadó  can provide three meals a day, delivered to the camp. Further details are coming.
• The kitchen can be used for cooking your own food, and there will be a fireplace in designated areas

   Other info:          

• We recommend that you do not leave the camp area too much during the camp, we will organise other activities.
• The nearest village is Bátonyterenye (10-15 minutes by car due to the mountain road), which is divided into two parts, bordered by the main road 23:                  
  • Southern areas (Rózsa colony, Nagybátony, Mátra LTP): old mining settlements with a relatively low standard of living.
  • The northern part (Kossuth Settlement, Chorin Settlement): more developed part, with the Szekér Fogadó, Lidl, one or two places to sit.  

Conditions of participation:          

• The training camp is open to all students who
• 14 years of age and able to look after themselves for 4 days
• Has been attending training sessions (regularly) for at least 2 months.
• Students under 18 years of age can participate with parental approval.

   To apply          

• Those who wish to stay at the camp must pay the full accommodation fee in advance, as we will have to pay it in case of cancellation. You must pay this in March. It is important to note that in the event of a cancellation, this will not be refunded as we will have to pay the accommodation provider.
